After a software update has been initiated on the TV, the update stops and an error message is prompted, stating the software update could not be completed (the text on the message itself may vary, depending on the TV model) or a software update needs 1,5 hours.
Note: For KD-W830K, KD-X75K, W8, X7, and X75xxH series models, proceed to the Download and install updates section below. These models always receive software updates automatically and can't change that option. When the TV receives an update, a notification message for new software appears on the screen.
Note: If your remote control has a HELP button, you can also display the System software update screen by pressing the HELP button and selecting Top support solutions.
Note: If the Automatically check for update settings is turned off, check manually if there's an update. To check manually, select System software update with the procedure above, and then select Software update.
The Philips Hue Bridge is designed to be connected to the internet. The Philips Hue Bridge receives software updates directly from Signify (formerly known as Philips Lighting) when connected to a router with internet access and used with the official Philips Hue mobile application.
Signify intends to provide your Philips Hue Bridge with major platform software updates, if any, for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of your purchase from an authorized reseller (except in cases where the hardware is not capable).
After these dates, Signify may choose to continue to provide software updates and/or compatibility with online services and/or Philips Hue mobile applications at its discretion. Should software updates and/or compatibility with online services and/or Philips Hue mobile applications however be terminated, we recommend you upgrade to a new version of the Philips Hue Bridge.
As of April 30, 2020 no software updates are made available for the Philips Hue Bridge v1 and compatibility with our online services has been terminated at that time. The Hue Bridge v1 can be only controlled locally via the dedicated Philips Hue Bridge v1 mobile application.
*) Compatibility with our online services requires the Philips Hue Bridge be kept up to date and this compatibility will be maintained for the last 3 released software versions, except in the case of important security updates where support may need to be limited. Compatibility with the official Philips Hue mobile applications requires the Hue Bridge to be on the latest software version at all times.

The Philips Hue Sync TV app can automatically update to the latest app version if you have automatic updates enabled in your TV settings. Please note that automatic updates are enabled only when the TV is connected to the Internet. Also make sure you are running the latest available TV software. The easiest way to update your TV software is directly through the settings menu on your smart TV.
In the installation instructions Step.3 in doesn't mention anything about a joypad it says "Press MENU button, then press 1-5-0-5 digits sequentially on the remote control then choose YES on prompt displaying "Do you want to update software" - unless the remote control is known as a joypad that is ;-)

Have tried 3 different methods of contacting Samsung but it seems no customer service is available right now, so here goes. The problem is simple: I have insufficient storage space so cannot install my TV's software update. Here's the thing though, I have deleted all the apps I possibly can. I only had 3 that I installed, so got rid of them. Now I'm left with the bloatware (apps that came already installed and that cannot be deleted or disabled). The option to delete is greyed out. I bought this Roku device yesterday in order to watch Disney plus on my tv and have the same problem with trying to update software,- it just won't work. Obviously this Roku company isn't very good, so I will be going back to Best Buy and returning this device. 2b1af7f3a8
